Short Story VS Big Story

This is my first blog post from our new home...it's been extremely overwhelming to say the least...what helped us get through this move were wonderful people...I want to say thank you!!

Today was our first Sunday at Crossroads Winnebago Campus...our message was lead by Cory Bolduc he helped me understand the meaning of Ransom as pertained by the Bible....truly inspirational this couldn't of been a better message we received today..."are we living our " own" story or a "bigger" story?" I do believe we have been living our own "mini" stories all being coordinated by God...we are given a choice do we continue only writing our own or do we let faith help us to live the life God wants us to? Based on the events of the last few months..we are part of an amazing story..it's up to us to choose the right ending and beginning of each chapter and thanks to his sacrifice we are able to re write and continue on the correct path..us living our life in McHenry was not our story but was his...both of us gained alot of knowledge in who we want to become...but to make out his clear message we needed to have an open heart to him...its like solving a puzzle we are given tiny prieces in a million piece puzzle but these pieces we are only given a couple sides it's up to us to see the potential...it's selfish for us to feel entitled to things we have not earned...but that being said we are given the opportunity to BE entitled to happiness not to HAVE entitlement to judge those around us...our pastor brought up a good point accept what God has given us by sending Jesus to pay our ransom...because we don't know when chances are going to expire..we need to respect those around us and serve him and not expect to be served to...it's sad there is selfishness all around us..it's in many forms...so called status symbols such as a new car, big house, more money, big TVs, new phone, being in a position of power who degrades your employees because you want the affirmation of being in a position of power...if you think about it these choices are around us 24/7, 365 it's up to us to respect him for his sacrifice of his son because there are terrible awful disrespecting people out there.....and you can't work on the problem unless you accept it...we all need to work on our faith and realize the gifts given to us with those gifts we NEED but not necessarily WANT...be better people and spread the faith...help those needing guidance and don't judge. I pray to you..."God give me the strength to accept how you want me to serve you and understand my placement in your story and be patient and enjoy the moments I feel you here and you have my heart in your hands and to continue on this path even though it may feel dark at times but is lit by faith...and thank you for your sacrifice for me and continue to watch over those people I care about..Amen"
